			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This informatoin is put out by the Canadian Soccer Association (CSA), and the Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association, (CCPSA) outlining the soccer program, the upcoming events and the needs and goals for the program.</p>
<p>The Program - The program falls under the title The Canadian Cerebral Palsy Sports Association. This program has been up and running for two years, and the team has just finished competing in the teamâ€™s first international event (The World Championships) back in July 2005.</p>

Head Coach â€“ Drew Ferguson, Former menâ€™s national team member, and North American Soccer League Player, Major Indoor Soccer League Player and Head Coach in the Canadian Soccer League.Â </p>
<p>Who can play for Canada -<br />
Players with Mild Cerebral PalsyÂ Â Â <br />
Players who have had a head injury<br />
Players who are recovering stroke victimsÂ </p>
<p>Events / Competitions â€“ The full national team competes in the, The Paralympic Games, The Americaâ€™s Championships, and the CP-ISRA World Championships, along with other international competitions. ( next competition will be the Americaâ€™s in Argentina )Â </p>
<p>Needs and Goals â€“ We have had a total of six training camps and one international competition to date, We have just completed a successful training camp in Vancouver (January 2006).Â  We are preparing for the Americaâ€™s Championships in Argentina also in 2006. There will be training camps this May, June, July, and then the competition for the Americaâ€™s in August. We have seen a total of about 28 players, but are always looking to make our national team pool larger and stronger. The age group that can play internationally is 16 years and older, but we also are in the midst of developing a youth program. If you yourself, or if you know of some one who might be interested in the program, we would be very interested in talking to you.Â </p>
