Who is out for soccer today?
Last Thu it was a nightmare to find a field and we ended up playing at North Toronto College Institute field. This is where we agreed that we should play today! For those who weren't there, the school & field are located 100 meters East side of Yonge Street, between Roehampton Ave (one block North of Yonge 'n Eglinton) and Broadway Ave (2 blocks North of Y&E).
Let's have fun as the weather seems to cooperate and let the kick off start at 5:30 pm to gain more day light.
Mind a couple of drinks afterwards?

I'll try and show at 5:30, but there's a lot to do at work so I might not make it right then. (Any other Thurs this summer, yes, today there's some crap to do... figures.)

Ummmm, about where we'll meet. Some people suggested starting at the NTCI (the Roehampton/Broadway school just east of Yonge) - however others pointed out that the school has football/etc until 6ish or something. Some people were hoping that the kids soccer would finally be over. And others who weren't there at the end last week wouldn't know about a change in location.

So I thought we were going to meet at the usual field... and if that field is full/used then go directly to the NTCI Roehampton/Broadway school (and never bother with the school to the west).

Do you have some of the other people's cell phone numbers? Do you have a cell? Sorry, I don't. I think I'll head over to the usual field. Maybe you should go to the NTCI field anyways, to collect people and/or see if it's in use. One or the other group of us will join the other

Good input Craig. Skip the afternoon coffee break to ensure that you will be done with the figures by 5:30 pm. Good luck. There were a bunch of us, we played the whole field last Thu and most of us agreed on the suggestion to meet at NTCI at 5:30 pm today - knowing there are football guys who might be playing until 6:00 pm. Cell phone calls to all would be a good response to the coordination problem. I never owned one and don't have others' cell phone #s either. The school to the west have been ruled out - never ever! Usual field is more appropriate and the grass is perfect. However, how about sticking on the NTCI field and, in light of field availability and our players attendance, deliberate afterwards. In any case, one or the other group of us will join the other.

Svato I am ready and in colors today as well. Let's go get those whites. We played in the dark last Thu. Bring flash lights today in the prevision to "last goal wins formula" that never materialize. Rule of the day - the winners treat.

Arghhhhh, it's lightly raining here at Y&E, and it's just going to get worse over the next hour.... from the looks of the radar.

Heh heh heh - gotta like that optimism.

Unfortunately by the time 5:45/6 rolled around and I was done work, it was raining quite a darn bit, and I'm not one for playing in a real rainshower. I'll play in more than I used to now that I have cleats, but not this.
