hi people,

anyone playing soccer on thursday june 2? this would be my first soccer game through this website. i am really interested and excited about playing

You are best to check this forum the day of the game to make sure that people are coming out.
If the weather is nice (and it looks like it will be) there should be a good turn out. We usually play between the two baseball diamonds in the park and meet around 6pm.

Jeff, you can be funny sometimes... Didn't you used to write some stories about sandwiches and poetic season closing summaries? I relaly enjoyed those. Post some more in case your muse was good last winter. Maybe we can create a section on the site for you - "Jeff's Corner" or something like that.

Hope it was a good game last night.
I couldn't make it out due to some subway goings on between King and Bloor. I waited for like 15 minutes before the announcement that "Emergency Services" were on route.
Emergency Service = You ain't going no where, so I went home.
Ah well, next week

Crikey, that's the 2nd day in a row they've had something like that. I was on the Yonge line on Wednesday when they started shutting things down and taking trains out of service due to the Yorkdale shooting *and* a mechanical problem at King... Luckily I was able to jump onto the Bloor line and just use an alternate route.

It was a good game, 7 on 7. Dan showed up for the first time in a while (not California Dan, but Boyan's Bro). Also had one new person (dob7dob7 I presume, damn, forgot his name...). So we're slowly collecting new people. And we actually got to play on one of the usual fields (man they're bumpy... the resodding means grass, but it isn't exactly flat...)

Sorry I left early and didn't join you for drinks gents. I was beginning to get a bad blister, and since I had friends nearby I thought I'd go join them for a beer before they left. Unfortunately that went longer than I'd thought, so didn't get a chance to check out Shoeless and see if anyone was there.

Another day. I'll blow off the other guys next Thursday or two
